Big Hog Roast

Posted in Uncategorized by admin Saturday July 18, 2009 at about 12:09 am

For hundreds of years the problem of feeding a large crowd on high days and holidays was solved by spit-roasting a whole animal, and the operation itself became a focus of the celebration. Today, although whole carcasses are no longer so easy to come by, a return to informality even in large gatherings has brought about renewed interest in spit-roasting and hog roasting. During his years in South Africa, Grant spit-roasted many an animal. Unfortunately he was not able to fit his spit-roaster into the container that brought his belongings to the United Kingdom. It was Grant’s passion for hog-roasting and Scott’s desire to own and use such a unique piece of cooking equipment, that led them down the path of designing and manufacturing the ultimate spit-roaster. An 800-pound monster that would spin a rhino effortlessly over a bed of hot coals. Of course any kind of animal can (and should) be fair game for spit-roasting. Whatever the beast, it is normally a time consuming exercise and a screw up can be expensive! Perhaps to a greater degree than any other type of barbecuing or grilling, a spit-roast has the potential to be a great success, or an absolute disaster. It requires perfect planning right from the purchase of the carcass to its serving – and plenty of time for the roasting, and accompanying beer-drinking ritual! For the most part the rules of the game are fairly similar, but for purposes of illustration we will focus on roasting pigs and a hog roast.

This embraces deserving causes and charitable foundations that are local, state, and nationwide. In doing this Intelius and its CEO are sponsoring deserving movements and humanitarian institutions such as the Vedic Cultural Center, the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club and Child Rights and You (CRY). Feeding the planet’s hungry is an equally great objective to Jain and his folks and to him, it makes not one jot of difference. While Naveen is intensely mindful that the ambition to feed every destitute mouth in the world can seem to be an impossible task, he is also cognizant that the irresolvable can actually be quite feasible assuming that every person endeavors towards a common end. If this CEO achieves his goals, there will come a unquestionable close to hardship and starvation on this planet in the future.

People may believe that as the head of a successful company as well as being a dedicated husband and family man would allow him no surplus room for altruism and aiding others. But he takes care that all of his altruistic enterprises is given as much attention as he can conceivably contribute. To wrap it up, this altruistic man is indisputably a lot more than any obsessed though admittedly most successful pioneer of industry. In actual fact, he is a intensely humane individual and a true community activist.

The Last 100 Years of Cuban Modern Artistry

Posted in Uncategorized by admin Tuesday July 14, 2009 at about 10:06 pm

Art originating from Cuba is an assorted cultural coalescence of European, North American and African aesthetic design telegraphing the various demographic of the island. Cuban artists embraced European modernism and the 1920-1950 era witnessed an increase in Cuban vanguardism movements; these trends were marked by a diversity of modern artistic genres. Illustrious Cuban artists were likely to hail from the early 1900s.

It’s been argued that the most famous artwork to be produced in Cuba was THAT photo of a certain Che Guevara (by Mr Alberto Korda) which was to become maybe one of the most recognizable photos of the previous century.

The native Cuban art cause gathered some pace following the opening of the San Alejandro academy in 1818, which was constructed to meet the European predilection of the Cuban bourgeoisie. In the late 1800s, landscape paintings were very popular within the art movement of Cuba and classicism dominated as the main art style.

However, the pioneering Cuban modern artist of the 1920s had spurned the theoretical norms of Cuba’s national art academy. During their formative years, numerous Cuban artists had lived in France, where they learned and absorbed the founding rules of cubism, surrealism and modernist primitivism. Once back in Cuba, they became committed to ground-breaking artistic methods and were eager to combine this new aesthetic leaning with a Cuban influence. The pioneering Cuban artists accomplished international recognition back in 2003 when the Museum of Modern Art presented the the Modern Cuban Painting show.

Sites Exposed

Posted in Uncategorized by admin Tuesday July 14, 2009 at about 12:28 am

Just reflecting on the past two weeks and thought I’d share a little bit. And wanted to share these good websites with you. Are you looking for home security or some extra energy?

Is it going to rain?

We went up to the mountains to camp a while ago. Sometimes the mountains just dump a ton of rain on you when you least expect it. Bought a durable heavy duty camping tent online for the weeklong outing. We weren’t too rushed but we still wanted our tent shipped to our house on time. When the package arrived, we found that the correct tent was in the box – hooray again! It only took a few days for shipping. The tent was here right on time for an awesome one week camping trip in the mountains! We’re planning another one right now!

Safety

High tech home security is in the house now because of this vacation. What do you do if your pics are all on your computer and a breakin happens? Sad day. One burglary is all it takes to ruin somebody’s life in the short term. Ack. It took a day or two to decide on a solid home security company that would install a security system. The system was not invasive to our home. We are more willing to leave the house now for long periods of time. More vacation here I come!

eFusjon Energy Drinks

Camping is a lot of fun, but it takes a lot of energy. Efusjon energy drinks are healthy and they keep you energized for hours. Awesome for camping. Everything we did while camping was so draining. I know I need to hit the gym when I get back but these drinks helped a lot. The ‘a’ team at efusjon is amazing. Very educational and the drink is energizing. Get in before it’s too late – get on the ‘a’ team at efusjon. Sign up at the link above now.

Check you later. Did you like this format?
